There is no minimum required aggregate in 10th declared by any recognised board to get admission in any specific stream.

So, if you have passed 10th you are eligible for admission in science stream. But, schools have made some criteria ( on qualifying entrance examination or merit basis) on offering specific stream.

So, you must visit the school in which you want to get admission for detail information regarding admission procedure.

Actually the percentage criteria and the cutoff to take science stream in 11th standard vary from School to school because some schools which are highly reputed have set their own eligibility criteria and percentage criteria that is nearly about above 80% where as some other private schools also give admission to candidates who have secured more than 60% so it depends.
So it is generally believed that if a candidate is interested to opt for science stream in intermediate then he or she must have to secure more than 70% marks.

To get admission for pursuing 11th and 12th standard with Science stream, you should have passed 10th standard or an equivalent examination in all subjects with minimum qualifying marks from a Government recognized board. Admissions in 11th and 12th standard are done through merit basis of 10th standard board examination marks or through entrance examination conducted by the respective school/ college.

As far as you are concerned about the marks requirement in Class 10th for getting Science stream for pursuing higher secondary school degree then I would like to let you know that officially there is no such requirement as the selection of stream is completely dependent of student's personal choice and strength.

So as it is mentioned that selection of stream is completely dependent of strength and interest of student so I would like to advice you that you must opt for the science stream only if you are interested in it and you feel confident about the same as it would seem easier to you.

Further I would also like to let you know that few institutes do have some criteria or they conduct entrance examination for distribution of stream in their institutes so you must be mindful of admission criteria of your desired institute.

The percentage of marks required in 10th standard to get admission in 11th in any stream vary from school to school, it is not fixed. Top schools or colleges require percentage of marks more than 90% or 10 CGPA.

Some school may take admission even on less percentage of marks like 50-60%. You need to visit the school in which you are interested and find out how much percentage of marks is required to get admission in that school.

There are different percentage criteria required for taking admission in different schools which offer science stream at 10+1 level. If you are not eligible for that particular school then you can seek admission in some other school.

The percentage varies from schools to schools for science stream. Some school even deny admission to candidate who have scored good percentage but some allow candidates to opt science stream even at lesser percentage of marks.

Generally there is only one rule you need to pass in compulsory subjects and the subjects combination for which you are taking admission in the HS and here the Exam Board norms ends. Now there are various schools across the country which follow their own rules regarding admission in 10+2 in relation to marks to be obtained by any candidate wanting to take admission.

Generally the marks are above 90% or 85% in top notch schools like St. Xaviers, DPS, Ryan International, etc but generally in other reputed schools 75% or 80% above they take, and the rest it depends.
