Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
both the boards are good at their levels .
there is slight difference in the syllabus of these two boards. cbsc board is useful for the students appearing in the entrance exams like aieee or iitjee because most of the syllabus is from the ncert books . thanks |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
yeah..sure ICSE is better than CBSE if you are planning to go abroad for your bachelor course then definitely it would help somewhere but if u are goin to do your bachelor in india only then its better to go with cbse as the institutions in india running throughly would like to opt a student of cbse on the cbse percentage basis..that is basic criteria of the india colleges in different-different fields...

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
Hi
CBSE is better than ICSE because, the CBSE syllabus is much more spread and its very widely followed all across India in almost all the states, and schools. But ICSE is concentrated in only some states and some schools. So its not that much spread across the country. CBSE syllabus is standard for all the engineering entrance examinations also. So. i think it is better. |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
ICSE is better than CBSE in some ways. ICSE helps in future as they teach you quite a lot in school, in details, making it easier for you. They develop your English to a great extent as there are 2 papers viz Literature and language.
But CBSE is easier with less burden. For 10th, ICSE is better and for 12th arts, and for 12th CBSE is better if you're taking science as the entrance exams are closely related to CBSE. |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
Hi
CBSE stands for the Central Board for Secondary education and its the most widely followed board in India ICSE is also good, but its not that much followed. That's because, the CBSE syllabus is matched with all the competitive exam syllabus, so it become easier for the students to cope up with both of them at the same time. Regards #RJ# |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
This varies from person to person. Both are good in their own ways. ICSE gives everything in a vast and detailed manner which helps in further studies. But CBSE is easier to study and manage. ICSE students have a better command over English though this might vary. For 10th, you should take ICSE. In 12th, you should opt for CBSE as it helps in competitive exams like AIEEE, AIPMT etc. GOod luck!

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
It depends on which standard are you in.In 10th ICSE is far better than CBSE,but 11th onwards there is not much difference, languages are not up to the mark in cbse in any standard.Icse is worldwide more accepted than cbse and so if you have any plans to continue your school study abroad prefer ICSE.computers remains better and of more practical usage in icse.Icse is not a state board.commerce and bio students should prefer icse.

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
Every board has its own special feature.
So, you cannot say that "this board is better than this board". If you are preparing for IIT-JEE or AIEEE exam, then I think you must study with CBSE and ICSE board. Because entire syllabus of these entrance exams is based on CBSE and ICSE Board Syllabus. |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
Quote:
CBSE : 1.It provide less syllabus to study. 2.It focuses on competitive, technical and communication skills in students more than the syllabus. 3.It focuses on deep knowledge rather than more and more syllabus. 4.Due to these qualities competitions are more based on CBSE. ICSE: 1.It provide more syllabus to study. 2.It focuses on communication skills in students with the syllabus. 3.It focuses on deep knowledge also but there is less self study time in ICSE. |

Re: Is ICSE better than CBSE?
CBSE has a lot more theory while ICSE places a lot more emphasis on practical work. For some reason, Hindi under CBSE was frackin difficult to score while ICSE was pretty easy, possibly due to the slightly more lenient scoring system. However, the option to learn French in the CBSE system was a vital plus while Accounts under ICSE was quite boring to be honest. The fact that ICSE is slightly easier is evidenced by my annual % graph - I went down to 80% in the 8th grade but shot back up to 95% in ICSE.
