IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become IAS Officer, you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, every year in two stages, Preliminary and Mains.

If your Aim is to become IAS Officer in future then you have cracked the Both these examination of Civil services examination.

To apply for This examination, you must have completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for UPSC Civil services Examination.

But to apply for this examination, You must have attained the age of 21 Years and Not have attained the age of 30 Years, Relaxation of upper age is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. For SC/ST Candidates there will be 5 year age relaxation and for OBC Candidates will gets 3 Year Relaxation is applicable.

So, If you have completed your Graduate degree course, then please apply for Civil services examination next year.

The Notification of this examination will be Declared in the Month of February i.e o 04/Feb/2012.

And the last date of apply for this examination : 05/March/2012.

Preliminary examination date : 20/May/2012.

So, Please prepare well for Preliminary examination, There are two papers in Preliminary examination and Both are of same Marks and Duration and If you will cracked the Preliminary examination, Only then you are eligible for Maine Examination.

IAS exam is top exam among all the exam in INDIA.
That is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

Criteria to give IAS:-

*Candidate pass graduation in any stream
Age- 21 to 30 years
Must be an INDIAN.

if all the condition satisfy then you eligible for apply IAS exam..

Last date - 30 March 2012

7 times give for OBC candidate
5 times give for General candidate

Hi,

The UPSC Civil Services examination notification is going to be released on 20.02.2012. The last date to submit the application form is 05.03.2012.

The prelims exam date is 20.05.2012.
The mains exam is on 05.10.2012.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS EXAM

This exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

Optional subjects for IAS main exam:

Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management,Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology,Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology,Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.

You can choose the subject in sense of your strength .

The IAS selection process is consist in three way

1)Preliminary exam
2)Main exam
3)Inter View.

IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and is done by UPSC every year.

Eligibility for IAS

You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)

You must be a citizen of India.

Age limits:
You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)

Number of attempts
- General candidates: four attempts.
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
- Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

IAS will be done in 3phases:
1.Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
2.Main Exams
3.Interview

Last Date to apply IAS Exam

Notification will be Published on: 04th Feb'2012

Last Date for Submission of Application is on:05th March'2012

Preliminary exam will be on 20th May'2012
