For joining IPS and IAS you need to get through UPSC examination conducted once a year.
You need to be a graduate in any stream and an Indian Citizen too.
There are 2 papers . You have to qualify both the exams and after that you have to appear for a interview . Then only you will be an IPS and IAS.
There are reservations for age relaxation and no of attempts for the categories(obc/sc/st).

Dear Aspirant,

The required qualification for the IAS and IPS as follows

You need be an Indian

Age Should not be more than 30

Should have a graduation degree.

Need to have that degree from a recognized college or university.

For getting this job the candidate should write the UPSC Exam.By which he can get this job.

There is no direct recruitment without the competitive exam.IF you qualify this Civil exams then only you will have the chance of getting the above jobs.

So if you clear all the rounds in the Civil exams then you can get this one.

You can have your own choice of subjects. Two subjects are minimum for all.So choose your choice of subjects.

These subjects will be asked in the Main exam. For the prelims there is no need of the subjects.Because it only requires CS and GS.

And finally the interview will be done after the above rounds. If you qualify this interview then the job can be yours.

Note:If you fail to provide the certificates during the interview then you are rejected for the further process.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Any more Queries.

Dear..

IAS stands for Indian Administrative services and it is a civil service exam conducted every year in India by Union Public service commission. It is a exam which is most popular among the aspirants as the respect and image that this job can give no other can match that, Every year lac of candidate appear for the exam and compete for a very few jobs. That is why it is a tough nut to crack. The best way to clear the IAS is to prepare for the exam regularly and with full dedication.

Eligibility criteria for IAS is as follows :-

1. All graduate are eligible
2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university
3. Only Indian citizen are eligible
4. Age limit is 20-30 years
5. Graduation subject does not matter at all
6. relaxation to those who belong to SC, ST and OBC
7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory.
8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS.

Exam is conducted in 3 stages.

IAS Preliminary
IAS Mains
IAS Interview

See there will be some around two paper would be there which is common for all and of course compulsory and once you clear that then are various subjects from which you have to choose two subjects and that would be your Optional subject. Its better for you if you choose subject that you have already studied in Either Your graduation or in your post graduation.

Hope it will help

Cheers...!!!
