Re: Is there any opportunity for girls after 12th in NDA?
Dear Friend
Sorry to inform you that girls are not eligible for the National defense academy examinations as per the rules and regulations of the UPSC .One of the eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is that : >>Only unmarried male Indian candidates can apply for the exam. So being a girl ,you are not eligible for the NDA exams. There is nothing to get worried as UPSC gives opportunity to girls to join the defense at the bachelor's degree level by conducting combined defense services exam for which : >>Both unmarried male and female candidates can apply . You must have bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university .For Indian airforce academy along with bachelor's degree you need to have physics and mathematics at 10+2 level. The age limit for the IAF is 19-23 years .Being a science stream candidate you can also apply for the other academies like Naval academy ,Military academy and Officer 's training academy . You must be physically fit in order to clear the medical examination. There are two stages of exam : 1.Written test ; 2.Service selection board :It consists of different tests and medical and personal interview. So complete your bachelor's degree in any desired stream and go for the CDS examinations as like NDA it is also conducted twice every year . For any more details ,logon to www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information helps you as much as you expect .For any other assistance please do not forget to leave a message here .We will get back to you as soon as possible.
