Please advise the upper age limit for applying for the NET exam?

UGC NET

NET exam conducts by UGC two time in a year in june and december. The notification is publish in month of march and september for net exam.

To apply net exam candidate should be post graduate with 55% marks in any
subject from recognised university.

Age of candidate should be 28 for JRF and for lecturership there is no upper age limit. so anybody can apply many time for lecturership.

NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was Conducted by UGC twice in a Year, The examination was Held in June and December every year, For this year June NET Examination was Already completed And If you are Missed the June NET Examination then please apply for December NET Examination.

But to apply for NET Examination you need to complete your Post graduation degree Course and You must have completed your Post graduation with minimum 55% marks, Final year Post graduate candidates are also apply for NET Examination.

Age Eligiblity For NET Examination -

For Lectureship - There is No Upper age Limit, You can apply for Lectureship Post at any age But your age should not be less than 19 years.

For Junior Research Fellowship - Your age should not be More than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

>> So, If you are Interested in this examination then please apply for the december NET Examination, the Notification of December NET Examination was Going to be Published soon in the UGC website in this month i.e on 26/Sep/2011.

After MASTERS , you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

Those candidate have completd masters degree from recogniged university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

The age of the candidate should be minimum 27 years but there is no upper limit for this NET examination.
