Respected Sir, I am studying in class 12th and after completing it I want to apply for NEET exam so I want to know what is the age criteria required to appear for NEET exam? Please answer as soon as possible.

NEET stands for National Eligibility Entrance Test and examination is conducted by CBSE every year for admission in medical courses in government and private colleges/universities.

The age limit to appear for examination is 17-25 years as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is an All India level medical entrance examination which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for offering admission in first year of MBBS/ BDS courses in private and Government medical/ dental colleges in India except in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.

The minimum age required to appear in NEET examination is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of examination. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government norms.

NEET stands for National Entrance cum Eligibility Test which is a national level medical entrance examination held for admission in undergraduate medical courses i.e; MBBS/BDS in any medical college across India apart from AIIMS.

--> The minimum qualification required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board of education. Further marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

* You must have the nationality of Ondia with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you are going to appear in the same examination. Further age relaxation of 5 years is allowed for reserved category candidates.

The examination form for appearing in NEET examination will be available soon and the examination will be conducted in month of May.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that the candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board and must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main paper. Candidate's age must be between 17-25 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.

So, if your age is between the age limit as on 31st December of year of appearing of entrance examination then you will be eligible to appear for examination.

There is no limitations on number of attempts to appear for examination.

Age criteria for NEET examination:

To apply for NEET 2017 examination, candidate must have attained minimum age of 17 years on 31st December of 2017. The upper age limit is 25 years.

Upper age limit is also calculated on 31st December of year of admission.

OBC and SC/ST candidate have upper age relaxation.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject are eligible for NEET exam 2017. At 10+2 level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.
