What kind of knowledge is required to become an IAS officer?
I am a pharmacy graduate from mumbai university, I wanted to know what knowledge you need to have to become an IAS officer and how to study for the same

For IAS you need to write CSAT and so need to prepare those subjects...
This time UPSC pattern is changed and it is called as CSAT which is coming into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011.and so there is no option subjects... It consits of two paper and each paper of Two hrs.. (Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of
It is of purely objective type and qualifying exam... (Paper II) (200 marks)
It is of purely subjective type and followed by interview.... Based on the overall ranking and your choice of cadre, you will be provided IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IAS or IPS. The higher your rank, the choice is with you. |

hi sir, i've done graduation in arts & done 10 2 in science. i wanna know is there any merit after pre exam for mains? and which things i've to remember to choose a subject for IAS. What is the role of choosing subject? the subject which i'll choose should be in graduation? pllzzz sir help me i don't know about IAS whole but as i concern i'm damn dedicated for it plzz help me to be known
