Minimum qualification required in degree for IAS? What is the syllabus?


what is the minimum qualification marks percentage in degree for IAS. And also what is the process for exams and what is the syllabus and what is the process for Preliminarily.

Eligibility For Prelims of IAS


The recruitment for the IAS is done through Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year..

The forms for the Prelims or CSAT shall be available from 2nd February to 4th March,2013..

The Prelims exam shall be conducted on 19th May,2013

The Mains will be held on 8th November,2013

Eligibility Criterion :-

>> A candidate is eligible for appearing for CSAT only if the candidate has completed his/her graduation from a recognized institute in any stream..

>> The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if general..21-33 years if OBC and 21-35 years if SC/ST..

>> General candidates have a max of 4 attempts..OBC have 7 whereas SC/ST have no limit..

Note :- There is no percentage bar for appearing in Civil Services..a mere pass certificate would do..

conducted by UPSC Every Year

A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Discipline (B.A, B.com, B.E ) with atlest 55% from recognise universities.........

Final year students are also applicable..........

Age Limit:
  1. General category student:- 21-30 years.
  2. OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years.
  3. SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.

No. Attempt:
  1. General - max. 4
  2. OBC - max. 7.
  3. SC/ST - No limit.

Exam Pattern:
  1. Preliminary Exam.

  3. Interview

Ias exam is conducted every year by upsc.
Eligibility:
<>you must be a citizen of india.
<>you should have a graduation degree from a recognised university.
<>your age should be between 21 to 30 years.
No. Of attempts-general 4 obc 7 sc unlimited.

IAS exam not require any percentage marks in through out career .

The Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates .

Age relaxation:-

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

There is a restriction for attempts .The no attempts allowed for IAS exam is given below-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

IAS examination is divided into 3 stages :- 1)Preliminary 2)Main 3)Personal Interview .

Optional subjects for IAS exam:-

The abbreviation of IAS is Indian Administrative Services.





Union Public Service Commission organizes Indian Administrative Services exam every year through Civil Services exam.


The educational qualifications regarding with Indian Administrative Services exam are below mentioned:-

# Candidates must have finished their bachelor degree in any curriculum from any approved institution.

# There is no need of percentage for this exam.

# Candidates of last year of bachelor degree for this exam.


Age limit and relaxation regarding with Indian Administrative Services exam are below mentioned:-

# 21-30 years.

# Relaxation:- 3 years, 5 years and 10 years are assumed for OBC, SC/ST and PWD candidates.

# Citizenship:- Must be Indian.

This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year.....


A candidate must have completed their Graduation Study in any Discipline from Recognized Universities are eligible for Indian Administrative Service exam. Final years student who are waiting for their final result can also apply for it....

There is no min percentage required for this exam...

Citizenship of India...

Age Limit:

The candidate minimum age limit is above 21 years.

The candidate maximum age limit is below 30 years.

Age Relaxation:

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates...

5 years upper age relaxation for SC\ST candidates...

10 years upper age relaxation for PWD candidates...

No of Attempts:

General candidates can appear a maximum of 4 times, OBC can appear 7 times and no limit for SC/ST/PWD candidates...

Indian & World Geography physical , social economic geography of India & the world

Indian polity & governance constitution , political system , panchayati raj , public policy , rights ...

Economic & social development sustainable development , poverty , inclusion , demographics , social sector initiatives

General issues on environmental ecology , bio-diversity & climate change that do not subject specialization

General science

Paper II :

Comprehension

Interpersonal skills including communication skills

Logical reasoning & analytical ability
