Bachelor degree is the basic qualification required. Graduation should be obtained in any subject. Age of the applicant must fall between 21 and 30 years. Concession in age is given for reserved category candidates. OBC candidates can apply up to 33 years where as SC/ST candidates can apply up to 35 years.

## The minimum educational qualification required to apply IPS EXAM is graduation/degree in any discipline from recognised institution/university ## Age limit to apply for IPS examination is ~>21-30 years for General category candidates ~>21-33 years for OBC candidates ~>21-35 years for SC/ST candidates ## The physical standards required to apply for IPS examination are ~>165 cm height for men and 150 cm height for women & 5 cm height relaxation for SC/ST candidates ~>85 cm chest on expansion for men & there is no such requirement for women ~>Eyesight must be 6/6 or 6/9 in good eye, 6/12 in worst eye for distant vision & 0.6 in good eye, 0.8 in worst eye for near vision ## For further details please visit www.upsc.gov.in ** ALL THE BEST ** |

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year after Graduation Degree.
Qualification Required for IPS officer:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness along with possession of minimum prescribed Physical requirement. IPS Entrance Exam : Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once. So, if you want become a IPS officer, then the selection procedure is based on the preliminary examination and main examination and personality/interviews conducted by the UPSC. For attending the IPS officer entrance exams required requirements are given bellow: Required Requirements : Required educational qualifications are you must completed the GRADUATION from recognized university and here not required any percentage. Age limit:- For Open category:- 21-30 year For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year Number of Attempts:- For open category:- 4 attempts For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts The examination is Conducted in 2 stages : >> Preliminary examination >> Main examination Preliminary examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination and if you have cracked the Preliminary examination then you are eligible for Main examination, main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Subjects on the basis of Graduation. |

IPS stands for Indian Police Officer. Yes there are few requirements which you need to fulfill to become an IPS OFFicer. Firstly you need to appear for an exam known as CIVIL services exam. Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year. It is a 3 stage exam in which you have 2 stages of written exam followed by Interview. Stages of exam: prelims (objective exam) mains (subjective exam) Interview The minimum eligibility criteria required for giving exam is:- >> you must have done your graduation from a recognised university. >> stream is not any criteria here. >> 1st or 2nd division marks in graduation is sufficient to appear for the exam. >> Your nationality must be INDIAn. Your age limit must be between 21 to 30 yrs if you belong to General category. There is upper age limit relaxation for reserved categories:- OBC- 3 yrs of age relaxation. SC/ST- 5 yrs PH- 10 yrs These are the basic qualification you need to become an IPS officer. |

If you have aim of becoming an IPS Officer then you have to complete Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
A Degree is the minimum qualification and you have to crack Civil Services examination with top marks then only you will become an IPS Officer. Civil Services exam is organised by UPSC every year once. For applying you have to visit official website of UPSC. For IPS officer post there is physical fitness required and also you must not be suffering from any serious ailments. Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan.... Age limits: Age between 21 to 30 years candidates are eligible to appear IPS exams. For OBC 21 to 33 years candidates are eligible to appear IPS exams. For SC/ST 21 to 35 years candidates are eligible to appea IPS exams. Education Qualification: Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university No of Attempts: General category have 4 attempts.
