Dear Friend,
The Acronym "IAS" stands for Indian Administrative Services. If you want to join the Indian Administrative Services then you have to crack the prestigious Civil Services Exam. The Civil Services Exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission. This Exam is considered as one of the toughest examinations conducted every year due to its conduction in three stages namely : * Preliminary Examination * MAINS Examination * Personal Interview The Exam is considered tough as the candidates have to pass in all the three stages in order to pass the Civil Services Exam. So , if any candidates just fails in the last stage then he/she will be directly disqualified from the exam. The UPSC has set some eligibility criteria for the exam which are : * The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. * Candidates in final year of graduation are eligible to appear for the Civil Services Exam. * The Age Limit : a) For General Candidates : 21-30 yrs b) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 yrs c) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 yrs The Maximum Number Of Attempts Allowed : a) For General Candidates : 4 b) For OBC Candidates : 7 c) For SC/ST Candidates : No limit This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
