hi,
IES exam stands for Indian engineering service which is conducted by UPSC. Eligibility;- ---You must be passed a bachelor degree from a recognized university in the following;- civil engineering,mechanical engineering,electrical engineering,electrical and tele communication ---Age limit is 21-30 years.Age relaxation is given to reserved category students. If you are obc candidates,then there is 3 years age relaxation for you. Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 33 years. The Full Form Of IES is Indian Engineering Services. the IES Exam is one of the examinations conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission. The requisites for the IES Exam are : * the candidate must have completed B.Tech/B.E. in any one of the following streams : a) Civil Engineering b) Mechanical engineering c) Electronics & Communication Engineering d) Electronics & Electrical Engineering * Candidates who are in final year of the above mentioned courses are also eligible to appear in the exam. * The Age Limit for IES Exam : - For General Candidates : 21-30 years - For OBC Candidates : 21-33 years - For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 years * The Maximum Number Of Attempts : - For General Candidates : 4 - For OBC Candidates : 7 - For SC/ST Candidates : 9 So , from the above mentioned , you can see that OBC Candidates get relaxation in upper age as well as the number of attempts for the exam. The acronym for IES is Indian Engineering Services. Yes definitely, Reservation(Vacancy and Sectional cut off fields) is granted for OBC contenders. UPSC conducts IES examination every year for one time. The eligibility criteria required for the IES examination are below mentioned:- * Completion of graduation in Engineering degree in these following disciplines from any accredited college or university. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and 9 for SC/ST contenders.
