IPS(Indian Police Service) exams are conducted by UPSC every year.


IMPORTANT DATE FOR CIVIL SERVICES EXAM., 2013
Date Of Notification:-02.02.2013
Last date of submission of form:-04.03.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam Prelims:-19.05.2013 (SUNDAY)
Date of Mains exam:- 19.05.2013 (SUNDAY)

Minimum Qualification :Candidate should be Graduate from recognized university.(no percentage is required just passing marks are enough)


Number of Attempt:

General - 4 attempt

OBC - 7 Attempt

SC/ST - No limit on number of attempt



Age Limit:

General - 21 to 30 yrs

OBC - 21 to 33 yrs

SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs

Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs

Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs

Physical Standard:Candidate should be physically fit

Sorry to say that Online Applications for IPS Entrance Exam 2013 are over now.

Now, after few days, exam is going to commence i.e. on 26 May 2013.

However, you can appear next time for the IPS formally Civil Services Exam 2014.

Notifications for Civil Services Exam can be viewed on the Official Site of UPSC i.e. http://upsc.gov.in

And Online Applications are filled through UPSC Online Web Portal i.e. http://upsconline.nic.in

Physical Standards required in Civil Services Exam for IPS:

Height:

For Males: Minimum height is 165 cm,
For Females: Minimum height is 150 cm.

Other than General Category Candidates, minimum required height is 160 cm for Male and 145 cm for Female Candidates.

Chest:
For Males: Minimum 84 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm
For Females: Minimum 79 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm
