NET stands for National Eligibility Test
SET stands for State Eligibility Test

Both these examination is Conducted Twice in a year and the eligibility Criteria are same for both the examinations.

~~ SET Examination is Conducted by Various State University on the behalf for UGC (University Grant Commission)

~~ NET Examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year in the month of June and December every year

To apply for both these examinations, you have to fulfill the given Eligibility Criteria :

:: You have to complete your Post graduate / Master degree course from a recognised University

:: You have to scored minimum 55% marks in your post graduation

:: Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for NET/SET Examination.

~~ If you have secured even 54.99% marks or below in your Master's Degree examination are not eligible for NET/SET Examination.

There is no upper age limit to apply for Lectureship Post

But for Junior Research fellowship Post, your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for Reserved Category Candidates.

But you have to attained the age of 19 years for both these post.

~~ You have to choose the subjects in NET/SET on the basis of your Post graduation Only.

From this year Onward's, New changes of NET will applicable and from this year there are 3 papers in NET and all are Objective.

M pharma student are eligible or not , if yes then in which stream they have to choose subject ----------because there is no seperate net cet exam for pharmacy students
