Will I be able to write Indian engineering service exam in 2013? My date of birth is 31st July 1992.

IES exam stands for indian engineering service which is conducted by upsc.
INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM ELIGIBLITY:-
>>you have passed bechelor engineering degree from a recognized university.
>>age limit is 21 to 30 years.

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

OR If you have completed Engineering degree then also you are eligible but at the time of written test you must be choose above subject.

OR If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate

Your date of birth is 31st July 1992 so you are now in 20 years old.As the of the notification , i think your age in not over 21 years old.

So sorry to say that at this time you are not applicable for IES exam.So you can prepare well for Next time IES Exam.

IES exam is conducted by the IES every year.

Eligibility criteria of IES:-

Students with four year B.Tech degree can apply for this exam.
Students with M.Sc degree in areas like electronics, radio physics, radio engineering or wireless communication can also apply.

At the most you can give the exam for four times.

Selection procedure includes written test and personality test.

Written test pattern:-

Paper I-(objective type)
Part A: general english
Part B: general studies

Part II & III- (objective type)
civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering.

Part IV & V: (descriptive type)
civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering.

Total marks for written exam is 1000 marks.

Dear Regards.
You need to complete B.E/B.Tech at first to sit for the I.E.S exam at first.

In engineering your subjects must include either mechanical,electrical,civil or electronics and communicational.

Age:
Your age must be between 20-30years.

Age for IES eligibility is considered as on 1 August of the year of the conduct of the examination. the candidate must have completed 21 years of Age and should not be more than 30 years of age with some relaxation in the upper age limit only for reserved category candidates

On 1 August 2013 you would have completed 21 years of age. So you will be eligible for it as far as age is concerned.

Some other eligibility criteria for appearing for IES exam are-

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee.

Educational Qualification

-The candidate must have completed Engineering degree in one of the following branches only
1) Civil Engineering
2) Mechanical Engineering
3) Electrical Engineering
4) Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

- For certain posts those candidates who hold an M.Sc degree with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects are also eligible.

Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 100/- either by Cash in State Bank of India or by net banking
No fee will be charged to schedule caste, schedule tribe, female and physically handicapped candidates.

you can apply for IES.


IES conducted by upsc every year,

For applying IES your age limit must be between 21 to 30 years.
