Respected Sir, I want to apply for SSC exam next year so I want to know the age criteria required for applying? Please also tell me that am I eligible to apply for SSC exam at the age of 17 years? Please answer as soon as possible.

SSC stands for Short Service Commission and it conducts different examination for recruitment of government officials in various departments.

As far as you are concerned about the age limit for appearing in SSC examination for recruitment in any department is 18 years to 27 years by the 1st November of the year of notification of examination.

So being 17 years old one is not allowed to appear in the same examination.

Eligibility Criteria Required to apply for SSC Examination:

If you are referring about Staff Selection Commission based Examination, then you are not eligible to apply for those SSC Examinations. The basic minimum criteria required is as follows.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts several examinations namely,

> Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam
> Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam
> Multi tasking Staff Exam

The required age criteria basically varies from recruitment to recruitment. In general, the minimum age required for 12th based examinations is 18 years. As minimum 18 years are required, I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for SSC Examinations. You may apply from next year when you attain the required age criteria.

As per age criteria, you are not eligible for SSC exam.

The minimum age criteria for SSC exam is 18 years. The maximum age criteria is 27 years.

# Age limit to apply for SSC Multi Tasking Staff, Combined Higher Secondary Level exams is 18-25 years and for SSC Combined Graduate Level exam is 18-27 years and the age relaxations are :
-> 3 years for OBC candidates
-> 5 years for ex-servicemen and SC, ST candidates
-> 10 years for Physically challenged candidates.
# Educational qualification required for MTS and CHSL exams is 12 th standard pass & for CGL exam is Graduation pass from government recognised college or university.
# Selection process of these exams is written test, typing test or skill test, personal interview, documents verification.

at the time of exam of ssc chsl I will be 18 years old in tier 1st
