Eligibility to appear in NDA/NA entrance exam for 10th student?
Respected Sir, I am preparing for 10th Board exam. My aim is to join Defence. I will study Science in Higher Secondary. So, I will give NDA entrance exam. Kindly tell me about the eligibility to both NDA and NA entrance exam for me.

Eligibility Criteria Required to appear in NDA/NA Entrance Examination:
No, with 10th Class qualification you are not at all eligible to appear in NDA/NA Entrance Examination. The basic educational qualification required to appear in NDA/ NA Entrance Examination is as follows. >> You must have done 12th Class in concerned stream in 10+2 pattern from a recognized in order to be eligible. >> As minimum 12th Class is required, you are not eligible to appear with 10th qualification. >> Hence, pursue Higher secondary course after completion of 10th Class in order to be eligible. The minimum age required is 16.5 years and the maximum age must not exceed 19 years to be eligible. There will not be an age relaxation applicable for the recruitment. >> Only male candidates are eligible to appear in this recruitment and female candidates are not eligible. |

To be eligible to appear in NDA/ NA examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a Government recognised board. You should be in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years. You should be an unmarried male candidate. You should be physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

The full form of NDA is National Defence Academy/National Academy.
NDA/NA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year for recruitment to different wings of Defence. The minimum qualification required for NDA exam is senior secondary examination from a recognized board. You can pursue your 12th board to become eligible for this examination. |

NDA is National Defence Academy and the examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
The examination is conducted for recruitment in defence services. The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in std 12th. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years and only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination. If you want to get recruitment in Indian Air Force or Indian Navy then 12th in PCM stream is mandatory. The examination is conducted in two stages and candidates have to qualify for both stages for final selection. For detail information regarding the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

NDA/NA refers to National Defense Academy/Naval Academy and as the name suggests same is a defense academy meant for providing training and education to those who manage to qualify NDA/NA entrance examination.
NDA/NA entrance examinations are held twice every year by UPSC in two stages which includes Written Test followed by SSB interview respectively. --> The basic eligibility criteria required for appearing in NDA/NA entrance examination are as hereunder:- * You must be an unmarried Indian male citizen. * Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. * You must have completed your Class 12th in any stream from a recognized board. In order to join Indian Navy i.e NA and Indian Airforce you are required to have pursued Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. * You must satisfy the physical and mental fitness as per the service requirement norms. NDA/NA stands for National Defence Academy/Naval Academy. The minimum academic qualification required to apply for this exam is 12th passed or appearing for board exams. For Navy and Air Force, mathematics and physics is compulsory.
The age criteria for unmarried male candidate is 16.5 to 19.5 years. 10th passed student can not apply for NDA exam. You should study 11th and 12th standard to become eligible for NDA exam. |

No, you are not eligible to appear for NDA examination with present qualification.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and to join the same you will have to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC.
NDA entrance examination is held twice every year in two stage which includes written examination and SSB interview respectively. The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in NDA are as under here: 1. You must be an Indian citizen. 2. Your age must lie in between 16.5 to 19.5 years. 3. You must have completed your Class 12th in any stream from a recognized board. Final year student are also eligible. 4. You must satisfy the basic physical fitness norms as specified at the time of notification of the same examination. Yes, you are eligible to give NDA entrance examination. |
