Hi,
Can anyone of you tell me how to join IAF or Indian Navy? I am studying B.E. right now with an aggregate of 65%. Which exams should I appear?

To join Indian Air Force (IAF)/ Indian Navy being a B.E student, you have to appear in CDS examination after completion of your Graduation course from a recognised university. Eligibility criteria required to appear in CDS examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. Educational Qualification :-
--> Indian Navy :- You must have completed Graduation degree in Engineering from a recognised university.
--> Indian Air Force :- You must have completed Graduation degree from a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

3. Age Limit :-
--> Indian Air Force :- 19-24 years
--> Indian Navy :- 19-22 years

4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidates to join in Indian Navy.

5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC CDS examination notification.

One can join IAF/Indian Navy being a B.E. student through CDSE.

CDSE stands for Combined Defense Services Exam. UPSC conducts CDSE twice a year to make recruitment in the Indian Defense Services .

The eligibility criteria required to apply for the CDS exam are as under :-

The candidate must be an Indian.

-The candidate should have passed Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Naval Academy and 10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Air Force Academy.

-The candidate age limit should be in between 19 to 23 years .

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards for admission to CDS exam.

-The selection process involves of

* Written Exam

* Interview by Services Selection Board(SSB).

In order to join IAF/indian Navy for B.E candidate you will have to appear for CDS examination conducted by UPSC.

Your age should be in between 19-24 years and should have completed your graduation from a recognized University. You should be physically fir as per the standards mentioned by the recruitment board.
