NEET and AIIMS MBBS examination is conducted for admission of candidates in MBBS and BDS course.
The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th from a recognised board. Candidate must have PCB and English as main paper. Candidate must have minimum 50% for NEET and 60% for AIIMS in PCBE. So, if you are a general category candidate you are not eligible to appear for AIIMS but eligible for NEET. The age limit is 17-25 years with relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category. |

To be eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with minimum aggregate of 50% marks and you should have passed English subject in the qualifying examination from a recognised board. Since, you have scored minimum aggregate of 60% marks in your 12th standard, you are eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination.

As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate must have scored more than 50% marks in inter mediate with medical stream from a recognised board. And relaxation of 5% is given to the candidates of reserved category. Hence your aggregated marks are counted not your individual marks.
So don't worry about that. |

Below, I have mentioned the minimum eligibility criteria required in order to apply for NEET examination, kindly have a look at it:
> Candidate should be a citizen of India. > Candidate should be +2 passed from a recognized board. > Candidate have studied physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subject in +2 level to sit for the exam. > Candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. > Candidate's minimum age should be 17 years when applying for this exam > There is an upper age limit of up to 5 years for the reserved category candidates. > You will be allowed to give this exam for 3 times only. |

Re: Am I eligible for NEET 2017 and AIIMS, if scored 56 in English, 62 in bio, 61 in physics and 61 in chemistry?
--> NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test which is held by CBSE once every for admission in MBBS/BDS course in any medical college of India apart from AIIMS for which a seperate entrance examination known as AIIMS MBBS entrance examination is held.
--> The basic requirements for both these examinations for admission in the sessions starting from 2017 are as mentioned below :- * You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by 31st December of 2017. Further relaxation of 5 years is allowed for SC/ST and OPH candidates. * You must have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as main subjects from a recognized board. Further your overall aggregate in these subjects must be at least 50% for appearing in NEET where as for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination it must at least 60%. In both the cases 10% relaxation is applicable for SC/ST and OPH candidates. So having secured 56 English, 62 in Biology, 61 in Physics, 61 in Chemistry you have managed to secure an overall aggregate of 60% in your Class 12th which is sufficient for your eligibility in both of these examination if you satisfy the age criteria too. For more details about NEET you can log on to the link www.aipmt.nic.in where as for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination you can log on to the link www.aiimsexams.org. |
