Can I apply to study PhD in English/Urdu having completed Bachelor's in Urdu and Master's in English?

Hi,
I have completed my Bachelor's Degree in Urdu and I have got 67% after that I have completed my Master's in English and I have secured 75% in that. Can I apply for PhD in any of both subjects, Urdu or English? If I can then what is the eligibility criteria for that?

You have completed a masters degree in English with 72%, so you are eligible to do Ph.D course in English. So you can apply for the UGC NET exam.

Those candidates who have completed post graduation degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D course. There are no age criteria for Ph.D course.

List of the college for Ph.D course in English:-

1. Christ University, http://christuniversity.in

2. Department of English, University of Delhi, http://www.englishdu.ac.in

3. Department of English - Goa University, https://www.unigoa.ac.in

4. Central University Of Haryana, http://www.cuh.ac.in/department-of-english.aspx

5. Jadavpur University, http://www.jaduniv.edu.in
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
