Should I prepare for GATE being a Civil 4th semester student? Suitable books for preparation?


Respected Sir,
I am B.Tech 4th semester student and I want to prepare for GATE right now. Please advice me about GATE and also recommend me some good books for GATE. I am from Civil Engineering stream. I shall be very thankful to you.
