Re: Which stream should I choose after 10th to be a Fashion Designer from NIFT?
Quote:
NIFT offers Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) courses. Eligibility for a B.Des course is a pass in 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board and for B.F.Tech is a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board. Therefore, it is better to choose the PCM stream after 10th to become a Fashion Designer from NIFT. Admission to the courses in NIFT is done through an entrance examination conducted by the NIFT. Duration of the both the above mentioned courses is 4 years. The NIFT website link is given Click Here |

First you should complete your 12th standard examination. After completion of your 12th examination you will become eligible to study fashion designing course from NIFT.
You have two options either you can study Bachelor of Design(B.DES.) or Bachelor of Fashion Technology(B.F.TECH). > If you complete your 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics then you will be eligible for Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Fashion Technology both courses. > If you complete your 12th with Arts then you will be eligible only for Bachelor of Design course. |

Re: Which stream should I choose after 10th to be a Fashion Designer from NIFT?
NIFT refers to National Institute of Fashion Technology and for admission in NIFT for pursuing degree course in designing one is required to qualify NIFT entrance examination.
Further for appearing in NIFT entrance examination for admission in bachelor degree course in designing i.e; B.Des you need to have completed your Class 12th with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized board of education. So as far as you are concerned about your eligibility to join NIFT after pursuing higher secondary school degree in Arts stream then I would like to let you know that you just not have to worry regarding the same as for admission in NIFT there is no requirement of a particular stream at any level of academics. For more details regarding courses offered by NIFT and their respective admission criteria you can refer to the link www.nift.ac.in . |
