Am I eligible to apply for higher studies in Canada after scoring 5.5 in IELTS?


I got 5.5 in IELTS L 5.5 R 5.5 W 6 S 5, I have done my 12th with 72% with non medical stream and 10th with 84% will embassy give me visa if I will apply for canada please tell me as soon as possible I am too much confused. Awaiting for the response.

Many universities in Canada required an overall band of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0 minimum) for taking admission to degree courses. Therefore, it appears better to re IELTS again and gets the required marks for taking admission in Canada. Actually, the IELTS score is differing from one university to another. You can find the details on the university website or you can contact educational consultants for more details or you can contact your friends or relatives studying in Canada.

For most of the Canadian colleges and universities the minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing System) requirements are 6 bands or 6.5 bands.
However some universities of Canada requires 5.5 IELTS bands to admit candidates in their various courses, so you can apply for admission in those universities.

No, you are not eligible to apply for higher studies in Canada after scoring 5.5 bands in IELTS examination. You need to secure at least 7 bands in IELTS examination to get admission in best Canada universities for pursuing your higher studies. After securing admission for pursuing your higher studies in Canada universities, you can apply for study visa and if it is approved, you can go to Canada for pursuing your higher studies.
