GATE Geology And Geophysics Papers
The GATE Geology and Geophysics Paper is a 100 marks paper. The time duration of the same is three hours. All the questions in the paper are objective type questions with multiple choices. All the questions will be asked from the syllabus itself. There is space for rough work at the end of the question paper itself. All the questions are to be answered in the response sheet provided to each student. There are a total of 60 questions to be answered for 100 marks.
The first twenty questions are for one mark each while the remaining questions carry two marks each. There is negative marking on the paper. For every incorrect answer from questions 1 to 20 the student loses half a mark. There is only one correct answer and therefore make sure to mark only one. If a student marks more than one answer, the entire question gets disqualified and the student is likely to lose marks. There are zero marks for unanswered questions. You must read the instructions given on the question paper thoroughly before attempting the paper. Solve the previous years’ papers to be able to answer the paper successfully.
