Gujarat Education Board conducts Common Entrance test for admission to various courses in Engineering. It is being conducted only for those students who belong to Gujarat. Candidates who clear the test are admitted to various institutes in Gujarat. This examination is considered as one of the toughest entrance exams of Gujarat.

Structure of GUJCET Engineering Test

The total time allotted for the test is three hours. The test includes three sections. They are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Forty questions will be asked from each section where each question carries one mark. All the questions are designed in a multiple choice pattern with four options. Candidates are allotted to the various colleges in Gujarat depending upon the score obtained in the test. The test is conducted in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates those who have passed 12th grade with science as the major subject from the Gujarat secondary/higher secondary are eligible to apply. Candidates those who are going to appear for Higher Secondary Examinations can also apply.

Candidates those who have passed the higher secondary examination from the Central Board of Higher Secondary Examination through any recognized school located in Gujarat are eligible.

Candidates those who have passed the 12th grade with science stream from the Council for the Indian school certificate examination from any recognized school in Gujarat are also eligible to appear for the examination.

How to Apply?

The candidates those who wish to apply can obtain the application forms by sending a demand draft of Rs 250/- to the Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance test cell which is payable at Ahmedabad.
