M.Tech in Networking and Communication, M.Tech in Signal Processing, etc are some of the master degree programs offered at International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. Admission Process for M.Tech in IIIT, Bangalore

Candidates who have completed 10 + 2 with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply for integrated M.Tech programs. Selection to this course is done solely on the basis of engineering entrance tests conducted at national level. Last year admission to the course  was done on the basis of AIEEE. From next year onwards, AIEEE may be replaced by ISEET.

Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering are eligible to apply for M.Tech programs.  Candidates with master’s degree in any of the streams of Physical sciences or those who have completed courses like MCA are also eligible. Such candidates should possess a first class in the qualifying examination. Final year students pursuing any of following degrees can also apply. Eligible candidate must possess first class marks in X and XII class.

Screening process of eligible candidates is done through an online entrance exam. Performance of the candidate in academics and interview will also be considered for selection. Online entrance exam test comprises of four different sections.

• Verbal ability
• Analytical Ability
• Quantitative Ability
• Computing Aptitude

There will be 30 questions each from the sections of Verbal ability, Analytical Ability, and Quantitative Ability. Last section, Computing Aptitude covers 15 questions only. Total duration of the test is 2 hours. Cut off time and cut off marks are assigned for each section. Cut off time allotted for the sections are in the order of 25 minutes, 35 minutes, 30 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. Candidates are not allowed to revert back to previous section, once they have moved to the next section. Candidates who score more than the cut off marks in each of the sections will be short listed for interview.  Candidates with adequate score in GATE/GRE can also participate in the selection process.
