National Institute of Rural Development organizes PGDRDM Entrance Exam annually so as to screen students for admission into Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management program being offered at the institute. There are a total of 60 seats for this program per year. For aspirants who will clear this test, there will be a group discussion section as well as a face to face interview before short listing for admission.

Structure of National Institute of Rural Development PGDRDM Entrance Exam

The exam comprises of two papers. The first paper will consist of 3 sections including Verbal ability, Analytical ability and also quantitative ability. There will be 30 questions of 30 marks each in the first section. The second and third section consists of 35 questions of 35 marks each. The first paper will be of objective type with multiple choices. The second paper is a written test. 6 current topics will be given and they have to write essay on any of that topics for 300 words.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the basic qualification for applying for this entrance test. Students who are currently in the final year of the qualifying exam and who expect to complete the course within the mentioned time can also apply for this test. Indian aspirants can apply for this exam. The international in service aspirants who will be sponsored by regional development organizations which are mentioned in the brochure can also apply for this test.

How to Apply?

The prospectus and also the application forms can be obtained from the office of the Admission Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), NIRD, and Hyderabad without any payment. Application forms will be distributed at NIRD – NERC office at Guwahati, Khanapara and also at the Eastern Regional Centre of NIRD at Patna and NIRD centre at Jaipur.  The addresses of these particular centers can be accessed from the website or via the email:  [email protected]. The application form should be send to the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar,  Hyderabad-500 030. An application fee of Rs.1200 (Rs.600/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) should be send along with this form.

How to fill the Form?

The form should be filled with great care without making any mistakes, especially the important details that are mandatory to attend the exam. Name of the aspirants should be entered in capital letters. Other personal details including contact details and also date of birth should be entered in correct places. Qualification details required to attend this exam should be entered very carefully. Photographs and also signature of the aspirants should be placed in the exact blocks. The application form should be send at the right time so that it reaches the exact destination on or before the date mentioned in the brochure.
