PAM CAT 2012 MCA
Punjabi University in Patiala conducts an Admission Test Punjab Admission MCA Common Aptitude Test (PAM CAT MCA) for the admission into the MCA courses in various colleges under Punjab Technical University, Punjabi University and Guru Nanak Dev University. These Universities are among the top Universities in Punjab offering good educational facilities for their students. 85% of the selected candidates will be from Punjab state and remaining 15% students will be from other states. PAM CAT MCA test is conducted by the University each year and numerous applicants are applying for the test.
Structure of PAM CAT MCA
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their score in the written test. The written test includes two sections. First section includes 150 questions of objective type format. The time allotted for completing the first section will be 2 hours and 15 minutes. First section consists of three papers and second section consists of two papers. This paper is mainly to analyze the candidates’ skills in General Knowledge, English Language and Mental ability. The second paper includes 50 questions that has to be completed within 45 minutes. It includes questions from the subjects of Computer Science and Mathematics. The candidates can select any of those subjects. For each questions four alternatives are there. The candidates have to darken the bubble of the correct answer.
Syllabus for PAM CAT MCA
The PAM CAT MCA test consists of two sections of four papers. The questions are from the following topics.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who have secured a Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks from any recognized University are only eligible for applying for the PAM CAT MCA Test. The SC/ST candidates must have at least 45% marks in their qualifying exam. The physically handicapped candidates also require the same marks. The candidates must have studied Mathematics as an elective subject in their plus two. The final year students of graduation can apply for the exam. Those candidates do not fulfill all the eligibility requirements at the time of their admission process will be cancelled.
How to Apply?
The PAM CAT MCA application form will be there in the official website. The candidates can apply online and the print out copy should be sent to the University with all enclosures. The candidates can obtain the form from the MCA Entrance test cell of Punjabi University. The filled application form should be submitted physically at the University along with a Bank Draft of Rs.1000/- for the general candidates. The reserved candidates have to pay Rs.750/-. Those who submit the downloaded form should pay an amount of Rs.1600/- for general and Rs.1350/- for other candidates.
How to fill the Form?
The application form should be filled with proper care. The name, contact details of the candidates should be filled correctly. The signature of the candidates and their guardian should be put in the column for that. A recent colour photograph of the candidate should be affixed in the form. All the details of the payment of fee should be entered correctly. The name of the bank, DD number and the amount of fee etc. should be filled without any mistakes. The completely filled form, demand draft and the copies of the needed certificates should be presented at the Punjabi University Test center before the dude date.

Study Plan

It helps them to understand the time needed for completing each question. It helps them to manage the time of the exam. Try to attempt the exam with full of confidence. It helps them to win the exam.
How and Where To Get the Results?
The results of the exam will be published in the University website www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in. The candidates have to check the website frequently for getting any information about their admission process.
Score Validity
The score of the exam will be valid till under the time of closing of the admission for the present academic year.
