Council profile: The council of scientific and industrial research was established in the year 1942. It carries research and development work in various fields such as aerospace, metallurgy, biological sciences, chemicals, mining, petroleum, food etc. It has above 40 laboratories spread all over the country and has many research centres under its supervision. 

Job profile: The project assistants will be given the level II. They will be responsible for working in projects. They will be required to work in the field of computers, electronics, and communications. They will also be responsible for assisting their seniors in executing various project activities.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 28 years as on 12th November 2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class engineering degree in either computer science or electronics and communications. A candidate must have the above qualifications from a recognized university or an institute.

No. of posts: There are 3 posts in total for the project assistants L - II.

Pay scale: The project assistant will be given a fixed stipend of Rs12000 per month.

Selection process: The candidates have to appear for an interview. They will also be judged as per their qualifications.

How to apply: The candidates have to appear for a walk-in interview. They have to bring the application in the format available on the website. The candidates also have to bring the copies and the original certificates and also their recent passport size photographs.

Date of Interview: The interviews will be held on 12th November 2009.
