Border Roads Organisation Entry Training
BRO is an organization responsible for the development of roads in the regions that cover the border of India. The organization is also responsible for the development of air fields, cantonments and building projects. BRO offers wonderful career options for both technical as well as administrative fields. Here are some details about the nature of work at BRO. The candidate falls under these three categories as per the qualification:-
• Civil and mechanical engineers
• Administrative Cadre
• Medical Cadre
The chief engineer is responsible for heading each project and the border roads task forces is under the command of Superintending Engineer (Colonel). For every project a platoon is formed and every platoon has a specified job. For eg:- Formation cutting platoon has the job of cutting roads, maintenance platoon is responsible for the repairing of roads and keeping them under good condition.
To apply for a job at BRO is quite an easy process. The candidates are recruited through an examination of Union Public Service Commission which is based on the requirement provided by the Head of the Organization. The selected candidates are then placed at a specified position according to their educational background. Promotions at BRO takes place through the departmental recruitment and manning policy, the deserving candidates are promoted.
The subordinates are recruited (various categories) directly by the commandant GREF Centre, Pune(Maharashtra). The information about the jobs(available) is issued by UPSC through leading newspapers of India. The information is also provided through Employment news and Rozgar samachar.
