Research Associates - Central Pollution Control Board
The Central Pollution Control Board is shortly called as CPCB and it came into existence in the year 1974 as a Statutory Organization. The main functions of this board as spelt out in the Air Prevention and Control of Pollution Act 1981 and Water Prevention and Control of Pollution Act 1974 are to improve the quality of air by controlling air pollution and to promote cleanliness of wells and streams.

CPCB invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Research Associates for four of its projects and the details of the notification issued by the board are given below:

• Project 1: 10
• Project 2: 08
• Project 3: 31
• Project 4: 02

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of research associates for all four projects will be getting a pay scale Rs. 16000+HRA and medical benefits as per the rules of the board.
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Project 1: Candidates should be Ph. D holders in microbiology/biotechnology or M. Tech/M.E in public health engineering/biotechnology/environmental engineering
Project 2: Candidates should be Ph. D holders in chemistry/microbiology/biotechnology or M. Tech/M.E in public health engineering/biotechnology/environmental engineering
Project 3: Candidates should be Ph. D holders in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/botany/zoology/life sciences/biosciences/microbiology or M. Tech/M.E in public health engineering/biotechnology/environmental engineering
Project 4: Candidates should be Ph. D holders in Chemistry/botany/zoology/life sciences/biosciences/microbiology
Age requirement: The age requirement for all four projects is that candidates must not be more than 35 years of age.
Experience:
Project 1: If the candidates are M.E/M. Tech degree holders, they should possess three years experience in design of waste water treatment plant. Ph. D holders must have done their Ph. D in the field of mass microbial cultures

Project 3: In the case of M. Tech/M.E candidates, they must possess three years experience in the field of design of waste water treatment plant/water pollution control/assessment of industrial pollution and its control. Selection Procedure:
Central Pollution Control Board reserves the right to conduct either written test and interview or interview alone for selection of candidates for the position of Research Associates.
