Tamil Nadu is a state which is very advanced in education. The higher secondary course is very essential for any student as it creates a base for the students. Statistics paper is related to the study of data, functions and organizations as planning of data.

Paper Pattern:

Question paper of Statistics contains objective and subjective type questions. The paper is divided into 4 sections; Section A is of objective section and contains 50 questions with multiple choices. Section B is of very short answer type questions and contains 20 questions in it and 15 from it is needed to be attempted. Section C is of 9 questions and 6 from it is needed to be solved. Section D is of 7 long answer type questions and 4 from it is needed to be attempted.  The paper contains questions of different pattern and required a good practise.

Frequently asked questions:

The questions asked in the paper are of objective as well as subjective type. Objective section contains questions of multiple choices, assertion & reasoning, true or false statements etc. The subjective part contains questions such as probability, sets theory, Yules’ coefficient of association, pay-off matrix, addition theorem of probabilities, functions and its problems, mean value, section D is of numerical problems based on the data.

Total Marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks in the paper are 150 and time allotted is 3 hours only. Section A is of 50 marks and each question is of 1 mark, Section B is of 30 marks and each question is of 2 marks, Section C is of 30 marks and each question is of 5 marks and Section D is of 40 marks and each question is of 10 marks.
