Is diploma equivalent to 12th? I have done 3 years Polytechnic diploma in CSE from technical board


After 10 I did 2 years diploma in fashion designing from polytechnic and one year computer aided designing(CAD) from Dev samaj collage ... So pls tell me is it equivalent to 10 2...

Yes, a 3 year diploma course after 10th standard is very much equivalent to the 10+2 i.e. higher secondary.

You can even take admission in any graduation degree on the basis of this diploma through the Lateral Entry.

You will be given the admission directly into the 2nd year of the degree.

Both the diploma and 12th are different courses so these courses cannot be compared. The 12th standard will be 10 + 2 years and the Diploma will be 10 + 3 years. The scope for the diploma in job areas will be higher. The aspirant after diploma can join directly 2nd year of the B.E or B.Tech course but after 10+2 the candidate has to join only 1st year. So the diploma is valued higher compared to the 12th Class. For the some of the government jobs they consider either diploma or 12th.
