Since, you have completed your 3 years Diploma course in Electrical Engineering, you are very much eligible to opt for the B.Tech degree course in the relevant field.
After the completion of your Diploma course, you must have to appear and qualify in the LEET examination or in the examination which is conducted by the respective state council. Re: Procedure to get admission in B.Tech through Lateral Entry for Electrical Engineering Diploma holder?
In order to get admission through lateral entry, you should have completed your 3 years diploma with minimum 60% marks from a recognized institute. Most of the colleges conduct their own entrance examination to select the candidates for admission direct in the 2nd year of B.Tech or you can appear for LEET examination. Hence, if you clear the examination with good marks then you will be eligible to get admission for electrical engineering course.

Quote:
Candidates who have passed Diploma in Electrical Engineering can apply for BE or BTech in Electrical Engineering through lateral entry admission. In each state, there are around 10% to 15% seats in engineering colleges reserved for the diploma holders (lateral entry admission mode). Directorate of Technical Education conducts an entrance examination for the admission to the BTech lateral entry students. Based on the marks scored in the entrance examination, merit list will be prepared and students admitted through counseling. In the states like Tamilnadu, there is no entrance examination for the admission. |
