validity of the GATE 2010 is for the two years.

but the validity for the gate 2009 was only for one year.

may be for the year 2011 is for the two times.

Now a days the validation has been reduced to one year only
Now it is GPAT for pharmacy students

according to my knowledge upto gate 2009 .the validity of rank was 1 yr. bt according to new rules the rank validity is 2 yrs.so do good rank to get good govt. college.

tTHe validity of GATE score is 2 years now...you can d\give unlimited number of times the gate exam...the best score will be the one you will use...

now i want to ask is ,if i attend gate agian and dont get qualified what happenes to my previous ranking will it be scrapped or can i still use previous ranking for admissions?

There is no age limit For appearing gate Exam.

And You can Appear for gate Exam Number of Times.

But The Gate Score is Valid Upto 2 yrs.

Gate 2009 only valid for 1 year.

gate exams held other than 2009 is valid for 2 years. so that 3rd year students also take the exams

IIT's wont count your attempts, so you can try many attempts.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering.

Gate exam score is validity for 2 years.
There is no restriction for age limit in Gate exam.
There is no restriction for attempts too.
Final year candidates can also appear for the exam.

So, no need to worry about it you have 2 full years. Work hard and get success.

GATE score is valid for 2 years..the year in which u give the exam and the successive year..means ur score will be valid for 2010 and 2011..

in 2010 the score card of gate was valid for 2 years , but now it expired after one year..

so better prepare yourself, get your own time ,and if you feel now you are comfortable with it,
then go for it..

Hi friend,

Let me bring you full clarity upon the validity of GATE Score.

In the year 2009, the GATE score is valid for a period of 1 year.

This means that if you appeared for GATE Exam in the year of 2009, that score card would be useful to get admission only in that year.

You can not use that GATE score card for getting admission in the year of 2010 and that score is not valid for 2010.

But from the year 2010 on wards, the GATE score card is valid for a period of 2 years.

Let me tell you an Example for this.

If you have appeared for GATE Exam in the year of 2010 and your GATE score is not good and you are not satisfied with the score then you may also write the GATE Exam of 2011 and if you satisfied with this score you can use this score for getting admission in the year of 2011.

If you write the GATE Exam for two consecutive years, you may use the score card which ever is good.

GATE 2012 score is valid for TWO YEARS from the date of announcement of the GATE 2012 results.

There is no restriction to the number of attempts which one can make.
As per the new regulation pre final year graduate are not eligible.
The gate score is valid for a period of two years.
One can use GATE score for admission into the masters course.GATE graduate has some fee concession and they will be given stipend every year

Eligibility criteria for GATE-2012 exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree in B.E/B.Tech/Architecture/Statistical course.
Candidate being in final year with above mentioned course can also eligible for GATE entrance exam.

Important dates for GATE-2012 exam:
Issuing of application form from 12th Sep 2011 to 17th Oct 2011.
Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012.
