Hi Friends,

I am a Waseian and currently doing my 3rd semester. Many of you are having doubts whether you should go for the Wase program or not. From my point of view I would advice anyone to do this course. It will really help you to build your future. No where you will get an oppurtunity to work for a CMMI level 5 Company (Wipro Technologies) along with pursuing a masters degree in Computer Engineering. It's just owesome experience. Going for MCA is not a bad choice but then you will be still treated a fresher in the industry. After completing Wase you will have a degree in M.S plus 4 and half years of experience and that to in Wipro. If you go for MCA again you have to study for three more years and than join any company. Now lets focus on Money (the topmost priority for almost everyone)--> No doubt that during these four years your stipend(i.e salary) will be less than what a bcs graduate gets if he works on a similar post as you are; but after finishing your course your salary gets almost double based on the performance. So it is a good option for anyone who wants to learn and earn at the same time. But if you want to support your family then look for a Wipro location which is in your own city.

Hi guys,I was selected in march for wase.but i have not got my joining date yet.in my joining letter it is given that I will get it till October.but I got call from wipro and they were saying that my joining could be delayed to december.is there any chance of getting before October.

Let me say what to I feel about WASE:-

Its an excellent program for the people with right attitude.It marinates you so well that by the time you pass out this program, You are ready to face any situation in your professional life.

When your working for a company as big as wipro your exeprience may vary. So some wasians wont agree with what i say but thats how life is , u got to swim through its hardships.Even after ur Mba /MCA/BTECH /BSC or whatever you do ,once you start working ,ur experiences would vary.

But in a nutshell ..Doing WASE is far better than doing BTECH/MCA from 2nd string colleges in India.

I am doing quite well in my professional life and i owe a lot to wipro for having a program like WASE.

I have got mixed answer here , so can any Wasian tell me what the reality of this Wase program of Wipro?

This is one of the best field to nourish your career and study simultaneously. What a company expects from you is that you can actively handle your job without much pressure and with positive attitude. Being in confusion in the first stage only could lead to a very confusing goal. Better if you want bang on to your goal at Wipro without having much pressure of salary or work pressure, because the real way to gain knowledge is to have an exposure in the respective field.

Mind it, if you stop yourself from gaining knowledge now, thinking about various factors like salary and hard work, then it would be very difficult for you to win.
This is just an opportunity for you at Wipro. Later you can switch job and play with MNCs according to your experience and knowledge. Have an aim to Gain Knowledge Now.

Yes is duniaya ka sabse bada chutiya program hai yadi ghar mein pasein na ho to join kar lo agar ho to join ki jaroorat nahin. Kisi ki bhi company ka experience chalega.
Is ajim premji madcharchod ki company join karne ki jaroorat nahin. Go for any full time course or go for MBA.

WASE program in Wipro with MS from BITS Pilani......is it good after completing msc computer science?

they are giving five year ms for diploma holders in branch...
what about this new type of degree...
are they again trying to make fool to diploma holders.....

My son is also selected for WASE programme through WIPRO. After completion the course he will get the Distance certificate are regular. If distance certificate
then at abroad it is not accepted. Other company also will give the preference to regular certificate holder. Kindly clear the types of certificate and future in other
company.

Hello, I have just completed my training and my preferred location is banglore, but I have got Chennai. I was not able to convince them for change of location. So if I quit now, should I pay 75000? My MS hasn't yet started.

Is Really wipro providing MS to 2014 batch waseians as they have signed the bond of 4 years of MS Program or if they are providing some other course then what the wase people should do? or what about the bond ?If wipro is not providing the things mentioned in the bond then what should one must do?

Hi Is it true that wipro is not giving ms to 2014 waseian batch freshers as it has not started Ms classes for them?
As well as i heard that as per the bond wipro was about to giving MS from bits plani but,
now wipro is saying that they are not giving ms and giving some other course instead of MS.So if wipro will not give MS to waseians of this batch then the bond will not remain.
So, employee can leave whenever he or she wants to leave wipro as there is no more 4 years bond remained...
So, i want to ask whether this things are true? whether employee can leave in middle and no need to pay..

WASE program is known as Wipro Academy of Sofware Excellence by WIPRO. It is started by WIPRO back in 1995.
There are four subjects in each semester and each subjecct will be handled by a lecturer. For each subject there are sixteen sessions of two hours each.
Candidate must have to attain 62% attendance in contact session. It is a good platform for IT professional if utilized properly.
But if you want to see yourself as scientist or compare with IIT student, then WASE is not the right place.

Advantages of WASE :

->Candidate will get working experience with Science graduation degree.
->M.S. syllabus is very great.
->Candiate can grow good skills by choosing good projects.

Disadvantages of WASE :

->Classes will only be on Saturdays and Sundays.
->Candidate get less time to study subjects deeply.
->Candidate can't get feel of BITS student.
->Also the earning will be less as compare to Engineers.
->Candidates have to clear other exams also as an employee while studying for MS.

Overall WASE is just an okay programme and it depends on your hard work.
For better option one should opt for IIT.

You have to be there in that particular location, assigned for a project then supposed be there for 18 months

If you are a fresh graduate and wish to take a higher degree and passionate in doing work along, it is the best option that you will get. But cautious about the bondage. It would be a tight schedule, but you can easily manage it for a goal set. The MS degree from Bits Pilani is one of the most renowned around the world itself. MS would be in computer science and it can also promote you a bright career and prosperous future. So go for it.....

hi... i have selected for wipro this year and they have assured me of giving b.tech and m.tech from bits.....my question is as follow:
my senior of last batch who has got selected for wipro and currently working within wipro has said me that these certification does not work for government sectors. Is it true?

Azim Premji is spoiling the future of this country by introducing these open book tests based education system, just for his selfish motive of min investment and max gain, he does not want innovation, he wants the society to stay economically weak, he has won Padma for this, surprising HRD is also not concerned about this

What kind of jobs do you get after completing Wista program and please tell me if Someone is not interested in coding then should they opt for wista or leave it.

Just going through the post, I knew many are perplexed to elect for WASE. It is not that tough as you all think. More over no additional IT company offers such a deal. Mostly in IT firms B.Sc graduates are opted just for Testing or to get Support function. But Wipro provides you a fantastic future. You're treated as a Worker. And from the previous year, the scholarship was increased from this season that ranges from 10,000 to 24,000. 16 sessions per sem, has been cut short to 10 sessions taking into consideration the pressure we undergo. I've got a CGPA of 8.0(80%). So it's not hard to come up with your studies. You will find wide open scope for such apps over the IT industry. The benefit is, you will have a live experience daily on what you had been thought per week ends. No WASEina has recorded a below of 55% of marks until today. So it's not that tough as you think. The only thing is You ought to be ready to learn new things. That can help you to balance your studies with your career.

It is better to opt for full time degree from AICTE renowned colleges as this degree won't be of any use other than IT. Here you will be working same or more than an Engineer but you won't be getting paid as they get. A new joined fresher will be earning the salary you will get in 4th year when he joins company. If you need experience better join any other company which doesn't have so long bond or else complete your masters degree then join.

I got selected through the WASE program in wipro but I have a student loan. As the stipend is very less should I join ??

It depends on the requirements in the organisation but probably it will not take more than a month in this era.

Its quite good good for the graduates, you are going for your higher education as well as experience from an MNC like Wipro. Don't miss this opportunity at all, this is my personal view you can consult to some other guys as well. But take decision after deeply thinking about it.

yes its accepted by most the companies..

I posted on this forum like 10 years ago while joining the WASE program and here I'm today again go for it if you don't have mean to support your higher regular education.. but if you have means to support your higher education like M.Tech etc then go for that its just about 2 years...
