Physical qualification for IPS:

Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female.

Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1.

The physical standards are essential for IPS, which includes weekly run for 10kms in 60 minutes, rope climbing, horse riding, PT obstacles, etc…

sir, i m a bba student but i have completed it from IASE university...it's a distance course...n even i didn't got the subjects as mentioned below:
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science,
Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry
or in Engineering

so can i apply

A Graduate in any stream not any particular stream is mention....
and also the age Limit is 21 to 30 years.

Final year students are also applicable.

Age Limit:

General category student:- 21-30 years.

IPS :-

IPS stands for Indian Police Service which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, every year.This examination consists of three stages.In the 1st stage, there is an objective type examination called the Preliminary examination. This is a qualifying examination and only the candidates who all qualified can move to the next stage called the Main examination. In the Main examination each candidate has to select two optional subjects, and general studies subject will be the compulsory subject for all candidates, Essay and compulsory language exam. The Main examination is a very intensive subjective type examination for which marks are awarded. A shortlist is prepared on the basis of the Main examination and these candidates can compete in the third and final stage of exam called for Interview. The marks of the Main examination and the Interview are combined to prepare a final merit list of selected candidates.

EAR :-

The candidate should have 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment and should not have more than 30 decibels.

To become an IPS officer you have to crack Civil Services Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

One should be a Graduate in Any discipline to apply for Civil Services examination.

The age required is 21 to 30 years if you are General Category Candidate. There is age relaxation available for other categories based on the Government Rules and Regulations.

The number of attempts are limited for General and OBC category . For SC/ST number of attempts are unlimited.

Qualifications For IPS Exam

The recruitment for Indian Police Service shall be done through the Civil Service Exams which is conducted every year by the UPSC

A candidate will be eligible to appear for the Civil Service Exam only if :-

>> The candidate is either a final year graduation student or has graduated from a recognized college..

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years, 21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST..

>> General candidates have a maximum of 4 attempts whereas OBC have 7 and there is no limit on attempts for SC/ST/PD..

You need to clear the following rounds for becoming an IPS Officer :-

>> PRelims or CSAT
>> Mains

The Prelims shall consist of 2 objective papers based on Aptitude as well as General Awareness..
