You must have a bachelor degree
Physical qualification for IPS: Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. The physical standards are essential for IPS, which includes weekly run for 10kms in 60 minutes, rope climbing, horse riding, PT obstacles, etc |

Qualification for IPS exam:- *Candidate pass graduation in any stream *Age- 21 to 30 years 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates. *Maximum time attempts for 5 times for General candidates 7 times for OBC candidates no limits for SC/ST candidates......... sir, i m a bba student but i have completed it from IASE university...it's a distance course...n even i didn't got the subjects as mentioned below:
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering so can i apply |

for a IPS Officer you will have to pass Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC every year. The eligibility for Civil Services Exam is: A Graduate in any stream not any particular stream is mention.... and also the age Limit is 21 to 30 years. For details visitwww.upsc.gov.in best of Luck. |

The only qualifications you need to appear for IpS examination is you need to be a graduate In any disciple from a recognized Indian university and your age limit should be within 21-30 years of age

To become an IPS officer you have to crack Civil Services Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.
One should be a Graduate in Any discipline to apply for Civil Services examination. The age required is 21 to 30 years if you are General Category Candidate. There is age relaxation available for other categories based on the Government Rules and Regulations. The number of attempts are limited for General and OBC category . The qualifications required for this examination are prescribed as below:- * Either graduate or a final year of graduation from any recognised board. * Age limit- 21-30 for general, 21-33 for OBC, and 21-35 for SC/ST contendors. * No of attempts- 4 for general, 7 for OBC and no attempts for SC/ST contendors.
