How I get the admission form for IGNOU Merchant Navy and what is eligibility.

Eligibility
The candidates must have passed in 10+2 with 50% marks any recognised board/University.
How to apply
The application form can be sending by a demand draft for Rs. 500/- towards cost of IMCAT Prospectus, drawn in favor of Block-12, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068.
The application also can be downloaded from the IGNOU OPENNET – Merchant Navy Entrance Test official website.

I am looking for a Lucrative career option for my son in MERCHANT NAVY as a DECK CADET / GP RATING stream.
I am very much confused about the Selection Procedure. Today lot of mushrooms institutes are attracting the Young students.I am a Educational consultant but could not understand the ways and means /Career path in Merchant navy.

Dear friend,

To get admission in IGNOU merchant navy course , one has to appear at the IGNOU OPENNET entrance test.

The candidate must have passed 10(+2) with at least 55% marks in PCM from a recognised university.

Age limit for 10(+2) candidate is maximum 20 years and for graduates maximum limit is 22 years.

The notification of the exam is generally given in the month of december and the exam is held in the month of february.

You can get the application form directly from IGNOU headquarters or it can be downloaded from the site:
www.ignou.ac.in
