Age limit to appear for UPSC exam?


dear sir,

my is kaushal and i just passed my p.g.d.m course and now i am 24 yrs old. Than pls tell me what is the age limit to apper in upsc paper. My cast is general

AGE LIMIT FOR UPSC EXAM:

21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, in which you are appearing.
Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

Eligibility criteria :

Age limits :

21 - 30 yrs for general candidates.

21 - 33 yrs for OBC candidates.

21 - 35 yrs for SC/ST candidates.

Education qualification :

The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

Those in the final year of a degree course can also Eligible.

THE AGE LIMIT TO GIVE UPSC EXAMS FOR GENERAL CATEGORY IS 21-30 years

AS YOUR AGE IS 24 YOU CAN GIVE UPSC EXAMS.........relaxation is given in upper limit for some category:

FOR OBC'S- 33 years
FOR SC/ST- 35 years

A candiadte which is appearing in this exam should have age between 21 to 30, So you are eligible for this exam

- For general category minimum 21 years to maximum 30 years.

- For OBC category minimum 21 years to maximum 33 years.

Age limit for upsc exam 2011:- minimum 21 to maximum 30

there is relaxation for sc/st/obc. so you can apply for upsc exam.

There are attempt 4 for general
7 for obc
sc/st are free.

To Appear for UPSC examination, Your age should between 21 to 30 years, only then you are eligible to appear for UPSC examination. The upper age relaxation is only applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

To Appear in UPSC examination, you have to passed your graduation, because graduation is the minimum eligiblity to apply for UPSC examination.

For SC/ST Candidates - Relaxation upto a maximum of 5 years.

And OBC Candidates - Relaxation upto a maximum of 3 years.

Number of attempts -

General candidates - 4 attempts.

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates -No restriction.

Other Backward Classes - 7 attempts.

Hello friend,
If you are interested for applying for the UPSC exam, then you must have graduation from any govt. authorized institution. The age limit will be 30 years for general candidates. There will be 5% relaxation for SC/ST students.
As you are 24 yr so you are eligible for the UPSC exam.

For civil service Exam

Candidate must have attained 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years....at the time of examination.....
  • There is no relaxation in lower limit but there is relaxation for upper age limit..
  • For Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe --5years relaxation
  • Other Backward Classes -- 3years relaxation
  • Domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989--5years relaxation
  • Defence Services personnel disabled in operations--3years relaxation
  • blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped person--10years relaxation

UPSC EXAM Query !!!

Educational qualification:-any Graduate from a recognized university or a college in India with minimum of 40% aggregate in Graduate. Without any backlog at the time of joining which is a basic Criteria of all the Institutions

Age:-21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.

Analyze your self , find out if you are Eligible or Not. And if you are then If you are in Final year of Graduation, for now concentrate on your studies and side by side start preparing for IPS exam.......

for general age limit is 21-30 years

for obc's 21-33 years

foe SC/ST it is 21-35 years

SO you are eligible to give IAS exam as your age is just 24.

Hello Friend,
You should be under the age group 21-30 years for GENERAL CATEGORY.
The upper age limit is tolerable as 3years for OBC CATEGORY
& 5 Years for SC/ST CATEGORY. But no tolerance for DEFENCE PERSONNEL

The age limit for CSAT 2011 is :
Minimum 21 years forall candidates,(as on 1-8-2011),
Maximum 30 years for General Candidates. 33 years for Backward Classes I BC – M / MBC / DNC and 35 years for Scheduled Castes,Arunthathiyars and Scheduled Tribes

FOR ANY UPSC EXAM
Your age should be between 21 to 30 years for general.

There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
SC/ST- 5 yrs
OBC- 3 yrs
PH- 10 yrs

Number of attempts:

4 in case of general
7 in case of OBC &
unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the age of 35 years.

There are 3 stages of examination:

Mains

Hello Friend,

Generally for most UPSC Exams, the age criteria is as follows:
1. For General category of students, age should be between 21-30 years.
2. For SC/STl category of students, age should be between 21-35 years.
3. For OBC category of students, age should be between 21-33 years.

Now since you fall into the General category and you age is 24 years so you eligible to apply.
