Respected Sir, I am studying in class 12th and I am about to give the final exam and after completing it I want to become an Income Tax Officer so can you tell me am I eligible to apply for Income Tax Officer post after completing class 12th? Please answer as soon as possible.

No, 12th standard candidates are not eligible for Income Tax Officer post.

After completion of graduation degree, you can apply SSC CGL exam which is conducted for Income Tax Officer exam.

Minimum qualification required to apply for SSC CGL examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution.

Your age should be in between 21 to 27 years.

Age relaxation-

Upper age relaxation for OBC is upto 3 years.
For SC/ ST , it is upto 5 years.
For PWD it is upto 10 years.

Recruitment to Income Tax Department is done through competitive entrance examination like Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level examination or Civil Services examination.

There is no entrance examination after 12th for recruitment in Income Tax Department. For both of these above mentioned examination, academic qualification required is bachelor's degree. You can apply only after bachelor's degree.
