A graduate in any discipline of engineering is eligible to apply for Indian Forest Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
The minimum eligible age to write the examination is 21 years.
The maximum age limit is as follows:
For candidates belonging to general category:30 years
For candidates belonging to OBC category:33 years
For candidates belonging to SC/ST category:35 years

The examination is conducted once a year and the upcoming Indian Forest Service Exam is going to be held on 14.07.2012.
The last date to submit the application form is 14.05.2012.

Yes you are eligible to sit for the IFS Examination.

Eligibility Criteria:-

Nationality:-

You need to be a citizen of India.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:-

You must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely:-

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

Age Limits:-

You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August of that year when you are planning to give the exam. There are upper age limit relaxation for the following categories:-
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Categories:- 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes- 3 years
  • Defence Services Personnel- 3 years
  • Ex-servicemen+Commissioned Officers+ECOs/ SSCOs- 5 years
Number of attempts:-

Every candidate cant give this exam for more than four times. There is no such limitation on the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Other Backward Classes are allowed to give this exam seven times.

Physical Standard:-

You must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination as per regulations given in Appendix-III of the Rules for the Indian Forest Service Examination.

As you have completed B.E. in ECE, you are eligible to appear for the Indian Forest Services Exam.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the IFS Exam every year for the recruitment of Forest Officers.

The Eligibility Criteria Required for Indian forest Services Exam are :

* The candidate must be an Indian National.

* The candidate must have completed graduation in Zoology/Statistics/Forestry/Botany/Physics/Mathematics/Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.

IFS Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year in two stages :

a) Preliminary Examination

Minimum height required for men is 165 cm
Minimum height required for women is 150 cm

Weight is depend on the height basis .

Ear :-

1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Eye sight :–

6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

IFS STANDS FOR INDIAN FOREST SERVICE , its exam is conducted by upsc '

as you are graduate you are elligible for the exam,

ELLIGIBILITY FOR IFS ARE :

NATIONALITY
. you must be a indian citizen
.subject of nepal and bhutan

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
you must posses a bachelor degree with atleast any one paper from following:
animal veterinary and husbandary science, physics, chemistry, geology, forestry or engineering

AGE LIMITS:

minimum should be atleast 21 and must not be 30,

relaxations are allowed as follows:
sc/st - 5yr
obc 3yr
defence service personals- 3yr

Required educational qualification for for Indian Forest Service exam is:

The candidate must have completed graduation in Zoology / Statistics / Forestry / Botany / Physics / Mathematics / Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science/B.Tech/B.E. are eligible for the examination of Indian Forest Service exam.

It's under UPSC.
Limit on the number of attempts is similar to IAS exam like
For general candidates 4 attempts, BC has 7 and sc/st no such limitation.

IT also consists of preliminary Mains Exam and Personal Interview.
After qualifying the prelims then you will be eligible for the mains exam.This will be descriptive exam.If the candidates successfully completes Preliminary and Mains
then he is allowed for the Personal Interview.

There will be Physical Requirement for IFS Exam but not for IAS exam.

yes, you can definitely apply for IFS(Indian Forest Services) Exam after completing your B.Tech .

You can also apply for IFS exam while appearing in final year of your graduation.

IFS exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the posts related to forest department.

Eligibility Criteria for IFS Exam:

>>you must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology,Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.

>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
