Candidates with a masters degree can apply for the NET exam. Even candidates who studied part time course too can apply. But the degree should be from a recognised institute. Also the candidate should have secured at least 55% in the same. If you satisfy both the conditions you can apply for the exam.

eligibility for NET is a candidate should have post graduate with atleast 55% marks from any recognised university either regular or distance, as you have a distance post graduate degree and if you have scored above 55% marks then you are eligible for the exam... |

The acronym for NET is National Eligibility Test. If, your degree is approved by UGC, then you are eligible for NET examination. The NET examination is conducted by UGC(University Grants Commission) twice every year. NET examination is conducted for these two posts:- * JRF(Junior Research Fellowship). * Lectureship. NET stands for National Eligibility Test. M.Sc (Computer Science) students are eligible for NET, but you have a secure 55% marks. NET exam conducted under the University Grants Commission(UGC). In a year this exam is held twice i.e in the month of june and december. Eligibility Criteria:- The one can complete Master's degree from a recognised university of India and final year persuing students may also eligible. But in your master's degree you have to score 55% marks, otherwise the candidates are not eligible. You must be a citizen of India. There is two types of exams in NET one is JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship. The age limits for both exams are given below. Age limits for JRF:- The maximum age limit for JRF is 28 years, no minimum age limit. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The Full Form Of NET is National Eligibility Test. Its the responsibility of the University Grants Commission to conduct the National eligibility Test twice every year. The National Eligibility Test is conducted every year in the months of June and December. This Test is conducted for the below mentioned posts : a) Lecture Ship b) junior Research Fellowship The Educational qualification required for NET is post graduation with a minimum of 55% marks. Also keep in mind that the university from which you have completed post graduation must be recognized by the University Grants Commission. The Age Limit is only applicable for the post of JRF and is 21-28 years as there is no age limit for the post of Lecture Ship. There is a relaxation of 3 years in upper age given to Candidates belonging to OBC Category and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
