Yes, you are Eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

NDA (National Defence Academy), this examination was conducted by UPSC Twice in a year - NDA (I) and NDA (II).

>> To apply for this examination Candidates must have to complete his 12Th examination and Your age should between 16.5 to 19 years and make sure that your age should not be more than 19 years at the time of Training, Otherwise you cant eligible for NDA Examination.

Eligible candidates may apply for Any one of the Wings -

Yes,Commerce student can apply for NDA exam,but commerce students will eligible for Indian Army force departmental posts only.Here is the complete information about NDA exam.

National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by upsc twice in a year to intake qualified Candidate for different department in Defense service like Indian Airforce, Indian Navy,Indian Army etc.

Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam:
Education qualification: Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream.
Age Limit: Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
Citizenship: Indian

NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

NDA-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
Exam will held on 15th April 2012.
NDA-II exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

No.commerce student can't appear for NDA exam.

only science back ground students are eligiable to write the NDA exam.

the other criteria for science students are

>>12th pass with PCM subjects combination.

>>60% marks in 12th.

>>age limit 16.5-19 years.

NDA stands for National defense academy and this is conducted by UPSC for job in army wings

minimum eligibility for appearing in this exam is that you should be pass in your 12th std exams with any stream

NDA exam is conducted for recruitment of candidates willing to pursue training in National Defense Academy, Naval Academy and Air-Force Academy.
Since you are from commerce background, you won't be eligible for Naval and Air-Force Academy but you are eligible for the NDA to join the Indian Army.
The minimum eligible age is 16 1/2 years.
The maximum age limit is 19 years.

The examination is conducted twice a year and to apply for the upcoming exam, you may obtain the application form which will be available after 31-12-2011.
The examination is supposed to be conducted 15-04-2012.

Dear friend,
I am very happy to inform you that you eligible for NDA as you have completed your 12th.The criterion for NDA are--
1.Age should be between 16.5-19
2.12th passout.
3.Height must 157.5 cms or more
One more thing you should be physically fit,and as you are from arts you can apply for Army only not Air Force or Navy because for Air force and Navy physics and Math is neede.

N.D.A stands for National Defence Academy Examination.

The examination was conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.This year both examination was already completed and results of the N.D.A I examination was already released.

Last date for receipt of application : 30.01.12

Date of examination : 15.04.12

N.D.A examination consist of,

• Army
• Navy
• Air force

The candidate must have a completed 12th from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

The candidate age must have a 16.5 year to 19 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
