I've never studied in tamil nadu. I want to know whether i am eligible for TNEA 2016 or not.My 10+2 result is yet to come. Please reply.

Eligibility Criteria Required to appear in TNEA 2016 Examination:

Yes, you are eligible to appear in TNEA 2016 but on certain conditions.

See...Whether you are eligible or not basically depends upon "YOUR NATIVITY". You have not mentioned whether you belong to TAMIL NADU or to any other state. There are two cases which clearly clarifies your doubt.

>> Case I: Other states candidates who have studied 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

>> Case II: Tamil Nadu native candidates who have studied 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th outside the state SHOULD ENCLOSE NATIVITY CERTIFICATE with TNEA engineering application form 2016.

If your native is in tamilnadu , then you can apply for TNEA by submitting nativity certificate.

TNEA Eligibility
- You must have passed (10+2) with PCM as a main subjects with at least 50% from a recognised board.
- You should have passed standard VIII , IX , X , XI , XII from tamilnadu state. If you belongs to tamilnadu and not studied in tamilnadu , then you can apply for TNEA by submitting nativity certificate.

Exam Pattern
- Total Questions : 200
- Total Marks : 200
Maths : 100 Marks
Physics + Chemistry : 100 Marks

Application Procedure
- Visit the site : www.annauniv.edu
- Click on " Apply Online ".
- Fill the application form carefully.
- Upload the scanned documents.
- Pay the application fee through Demand Draft.
- Print the application.
- Send the application along with DD to registrar.

To get admission through TNEA(Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) 2016, few points you should keep in your mind.
1). You must be a native of Tamilnadu.
or Your parents must be working in public sector for the last 5 years in tamilnadu.
2). You must have completed your 12th or in final year.
3). Relaxation in percentage of 12th is only for reserved catogary(OBC/SC/ST).
So, if you full fill the above conditions then you are eligible to apply for TNEA 2016 otherwise not.

I am a resident of Tamil Nadu. I am working in Abu dhabi. My Son is in grade 8 in Indian School, Abu dhabi. To be eligible for TNEA under normal quota(not NRI stream), how many years minimum schooling in Tamil Nadu is mandatory? Whether 2 years(Grades 11 to 12) or 3 years(Grades 10 to 12) schooling in Tamil Nadu? I have to plan my son's education based on your reply. Can you please reply? Thanks in advance.
