No, pre final students are not eligible. Those who are in final year of engineering degree can apply. Passed candidates can also attend the test. Try to start with exam preparations now onwards. This will help you to clear the exam in the first attempt itself.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .This exam is conducted for M-Tech admission , PHD admission and some of the organization recruit the candidate through GATE score.

No , Pre final year candidate are not applicable for GATE Exam .But final year candidate are applicable for GATE Exam .

The eligible departments are for GATE Exam-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.There are no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.GATE score is valid for TWO years.

Yes,pre final year students are eligible for GATE EXAM.

Hii.m doing b.arch i came in fourth year this year i have to confirm will i m eligible to give gate exam this year.ie. in 2014 ??
