After 12th .

NDA i.e National Defense Academy , age should be 16-1/2 to 19 years of Age. There is No minimum Marks specified by UPSC for NDA but still you must have 50% in your 12th. Even you can have the Eligibility criteria specified by upsc board down the attachment.

So, yes you are eligible for NDA...this is a common exam which make you eligible for both AIR FORCE , Army.

Information Regarding NDA Examination.

Yes, definitely you are eligible for the NDA examination. NDA examination is conducted by the UPSC in every year for the admission in Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force wing of the NDA. To appear in the NDA examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification = Pass 12th examination in any stream. The 12th board exam appearing student are also eligible to apply for the NDA examination.

Age Limit = The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of appearing of this examination.

If your age is 16 1/2 and if you pass the 12th examination then you are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. This examination is conducted twice in every year. Once in the month of April and other in the month of August.

Can I be eligible for NDA exam if I am 16.5 years old?

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and is conducted twice a year by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) .The basic eligibility criteria for appearing in this exam are as follows :

• Unmarried Male candidates are only allowed
• Must have either passed or appearing in class 12th or intermediate exam from any recognized university with Physics ,Chemistry and Maths.
• Age- 16.5 to 19 years

Since your age is 16.5 ,you are eligible to appear in NDA exam .There is no need to worry .

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC.

Those candidate have completed 12 th with any stream are eligible for NDA exam.

But your age must be in between 16.5 to 19 years old.

yes,you will be eligible for NDA exam if you have the following eligibility criteria apart from age criteria 16.5 years.

>>you should have to do 12th science with PCM subject choice.

>>minimum 60% marks in 12th.

>>minimum height should 165cm.

etc.

then only you will be eligiable to appear in the NDA exam.

Eligibility for NDA

Yes,you are eligible for giving the NDA exam..the exam is held twice a year..once in the month of April and the other in the month of August..you can appear for any one of them you like..

The minimum conditions for appearing for NDA are :-

1) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..
2) You should be a 12th pass out..(with PCM for Air Force or Navy)

apart from these..you should have a perfect eyesight and should be physically fit..

you have to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

NDA examination is conducted for the admission in Army,Naval wing and Air Force wing of the NDA.
The eligibility criteria for the NDA examination is that a candidate must has passed class 12th examination in any stream for the Army.
For admission in the Air force wing and Naval wing the candidate must have subject combination Physics,Chemistry and mathematics in 10+2.
Class 12th appearing students can also apply.
Age of the candidate must be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

As your age is 16.5 years or if you have passed class 12th or you have appeared for the class 12th examination then you are quite eligible for the NDA examination.

NDA (National Defence Academy) is one of the platforms through which you can express your indomitable spirit for your own country India.

Eligibility for Indian Army :
1:You should pass 12(10+2)th or its equivalent from State Board / Universities. you can also apply as appearing for 12th examination.

2:Marital Status:Unmarried

3:Sex :Male.

Application Forms are published in any leading newspapers during March or April every year and entrance examination to be held by the UPSC six months later from the application form is published.

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

After clearing the written exam you will be called for a five-day interview process with the State Selection Board (SSB) which is the final step of selection.

On completion of the NDA course, you are sent to the respective service academies for your pre- commission training.

As per you DOB you are eligible, but did not mentioned here your current qualification.
For appear in NDA examination, you must have at least 12th degree .
The NDA (NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY) is conducted by union public service commission (UPSC).
The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years,.
there is not any kind of age relaxation is applicable for the SC\ST candidates.,.,
Through this examination, one can apply for all the three branches of the Indian force- naval , air force & military force.
you must have subjects PHYSIC & MATHS in 12th class for being eligible for the NAVAL & AIR FORCE of India, passing with at least 60% in 12th.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy. This exam is conducted by UPSC every year to select candidates in the Indian defense for Army, Navy and Air Force.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA exam ::

1. Only male unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.

2. He should be a 10+2 pass from a recognized board and school with physics, chemistry and maths as compulsory subjects.

3. A minimum 50% aggregate is asked for in the 12th board results for minimum eligibility.

4. Age limit that is strictly followed is between 16.5 to 19 years.

So since you are 16.5 years, you may apply for the NDA exam this year, and for the next two years too.

Important Dates for NDA 2012 are ::

1. Date of release of notification- 12 October, 2011
2. Last date of submission of application form- last week of November, 2011
3. Date of the Examination- 15 April 2012
