can i get admission to iit after diploma in engineering

Yes, You are eligible to appear IIT-JEE according to required educational qualification.

This year application for JEE is over.

If your diploma degree will be completed in 2011 then you would be able to appear JEE-2012.

Only two attempts are provided to appear JEE. One, in that year in which one
completes 12th or Diploma degree and the other is the year just after that.

Age should not be more than 24 years at the time of application.

If you are doing 2 year diploma after class 10 ,then it is equivalent to intermediate hence you can sit in IIT-JEE after completing your diploma. but if You are doing three years diploma then i am very sorry to say you that you can't take admission in IIT through lateral entry scheme directly into second year as this facility is not available for iit and nit. remember you have only 2 chances if you are elligible not more than that .

Diploma in engineering means three years course after class 10. IIT-JEE doesn't permit student to take admission directly into 2nd through LATERAL ENTRY system. so, you can't take admission in iit directly into second year.however you can appear iit-jee .

If you want to do B.E. or B.Tech. from IIT, Yes it is possible to take admission as a transfer course in IIT after Diploma in engineering.

In transfer course you will get direct admission in 3rd semester and your course duration is 3 Years.

you are well qualified for JEE examination, is not possible if ypu have an work experience based on your percentage and experience you may do B.E in top rank colleges like anna university, for this you have to apply for the counslling.

No, a student is eligible to appear for IITjee after 12 class only. Or one yr after 12 th class.

Its a good question, because lot of people who are having diploma as a Educational Qualification, due to lack of awareness, they don't write IIT exam.

But i would like to say that Yes you are Eligible for writing IIT JEE exam and taking admission into various IIT's.

You are quite late now IIT sale of application forms are over and nothing can be done.

And For eligibility Criteria:-
You should have either passed the qualifying examination* in the year of the test or the year previous to it.

*Qualification Examination Includes:-

• 3 or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education. Or
• The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board

yes , diploma is equivalent to 10+2. so , after diploma you can apply for IITJEE.

yea you may get into the the IIT.

but in IIT there is no lateral entry scheme. so this is not possible to take admission directly into second year of engineering after diploma.

if you want to take admission in IIT you have to appear in IIT JEE engineering entrance examination. then you have to secure good position in the entrance examination. then only you will be able to take admission in IIT.

for 2011 IIT JEE form fill up is closed. if you want to take admission in IIT you have to appear in entrance examination in next year.

you may also take admission in other good institution in lateral entry. there if lateral entry scheme is available then you will be able to take admission directly into second year of engineering. it will save one year. i think it is better for you if you are unable to take admission in IIT.

You clear the entrance exam whose you are admitted. if you clear the exam with high rank will are get the admission in IIT.

Yes you can write the IIT -JEE because the

qualification for IIT is : 10 + 2 or its equivalents.....

So you can apply but thier is a twist that unlike other Engineering college you will get admission into 1st year ....

Yes ,you can join iit by passing out its entrance exams only.it is like 10 2 and you have to follow rule and regulation as it is for 10 2.One can't take admission in iit directly because there is no lateral entry scheme in it.

some one says that it is possible to get lateral entry in iit but some one denies from this.whats the fact.can any one tell me...............
