You have not mentioned your education qualification ...

Arts stream candidates are not eligible to apply for Indian Air force . But you can Indian Army through National Defence Academy .

National Defence Academy Examination is conducted two times in a year for Post to Army wings , Navy wings , Air force .

You can eligible to apply for Army wings Only and you have not eligible to apply for Navy wings and Air force Academy .

Because to apply for Air force Academy / Naval Academy course , the candidate must have a possess 12th exam with Mathematics , Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects in their examination . So , you can't apply for both courses.

But you can eligible to apply for army wings , there is no minimum marks required for this examination and Intermediate is enough to appear for this examination . Candidate must have completed Intermediate with any stream (Arts or Science or Commerce or any other subjects ) of a recognized School .

Age must not be below 16 1/2 years and not above 19 years at the time of appearing for this examination . (i.e born not earlier than 2nd July , 1994 and not later than 1st January 1997 are eligible to apply ) . There is no relaxation for reserved categories .

Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply and candidate must be citizen of India or SUbject of Bhutan or SUbject of Nephal .

NDA Exam dates :-

• Date of Notification :- 05.05.12
• Last date for receipt of application :- 04.06.12
• Date of examination :- 19.08.12

You can apply indian airforce through two ways one is after 12 th standard through NDA and after graduation through CDS exam.

Commerce students after 12th standard can not apply Airforce, after your graduation you are eligible for Airforce through CDS exam.

You can apply for above four categories.


Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Final year candidate should also be eligible for CDS.

For indian naval academy 19 years to 22 years,

To join in Airforce you have two ways one is after 12th standard through NDA exam and after Graduation through CDS exam.


But you are not mentioned your educational qualification then how can i post the answer. You are from arts stream if you are from arts stream in 12th standard then you are not eligible for NDA exam.

The arts student can apply for the NDA in army wing. But you can apply for the National Defence Academy exam only when you have completed your 10+2 or appeared in 10+2 exams. You are not eligible for the NDA exam in your XI standard.

The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is mentioned below. Since you can apply for the Army only because Air force and navy wants physics and maths.So you can only apply for the Army. So I have only write the eligibility criteria needed for the Army.

Education Qualification:

The minimum education qualification is 10+2 passed or 10+2 appeared student can also apply.

Age limit:
16½ - 19 years
Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam married candidates are not eligible for this exam.

Height:
The minimum height required for the NDA exam is 157.5cm.

NDA Stands for National Defence Academy examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission as namely NDA I and NDA II.This examination is conducted for admission to Navy,Air force and Army wings.

Can I join NDA being an Arts student without having Mathematics?

NDA (National Defense Academy) is a exam conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
A student can go into Air force/Indian Navy/Indian Army,
if he qualifies in the NDA exam.

Indian Navy and Air Force:
A student should have physics and mathematics as a subject in 12th class for appearing in the above two.

So, you can't go for these two as you have Arts stream.

Indian Army:
A student of any stream like science,commerce,arts is eligible for Indian Army.

So, you can Join Indian Army.

Age limit:
the main thing which should also be keep in mind that your age should be in the criteria of

16.5-19 years.

Can I join NDA being an Arts student without having Mathematics?

Well yes but you can apply for the ARMY only .

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC every year and any students who have completed their class 12th can apply for the exam.

The examination is conducted twice a year and eligible students can appear for the exam as many times as they want.

Generally NDA examination is conducted to select students in ::

ARMY
AIR FORCE
NAVY

There will be single papers and the eligibility criteria for the all fields in different .

To apply for the ARMY you must have completed your class 12th in any streams .Since you have completed your class 12th in arts which means that you can apply for this post .

To apply for AIR force and NAVY a students must have completed his class 12th with physics ,maths , chemistry as a compulsory subjects .Which means that you can not apply for this field .

Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years .

To apply for the CDS exams than you need to fulfill the below eligibity criteria:


Educational Qualifications:
Indian Airforce- Bachelors Degree pass in any stream and Physics and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH pass
Indian Navy - BE/BTECH pass
Indian Military Academy (IMA) - Bachelors Degree Pass in any Stream
Officers Training Academy (OTA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream


Age for applying to these exams are:
IMA- Minimum 19 years and Maximum 24 years
OTA Minimum 19 years and Maximum 25 years
Navy - Minimum 19 years and Maximum 22 years
Airforce - Minimum 19 years and Maximum 23 years
