IB stands for Intelligence Bureau .The candidate who wishes to join intelligence bureau has to appear in the entrance exam conducted by UPSC. One can join IB after clearing UPSC exam .
The eligibility criteria for UPSC exam to join IB are as under :- -The candidate must have passed graduation degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. -The age limit to apply for the IB is from 22 years to 32 years. Upper age limit is relaxed for OBC/SC/ST candidates as per the Govt. rules . The selection procedure involves of * written exam and * interview. IPS stands for Indian Police Services . One who wishes to join IPS has to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exam . UPSC conducts Civil Services Exam to make recruitment to the posts like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc. The eligibility criteria required for civil services exam are as under:- -The candidate must be an Indian. -The candidate should have passed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. - The age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 30 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. - The no. of attempts for the exam is 4 times for general category under the creamy layer,7 times for OBC candidates and no limits for SC/ST candidates. - The exam process involves * Preliminary Exam * Main exam * Personality Interview.
