Give me the detail information of ies exam?..please could u provide to me that

Engineering degree from a recognized institution is the basic qualification required for IES. The qualification must be obtained in subjects like ECE, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering. There will be two sections for the exam. First section comprises questions on general English and general studies. Second subject is based on the concerned engineering stream. Further details can be collected from UPSC portal.

The Eligibility Criteria for IES Exam are mentioned hither :

## Educational Qualifications :

>> The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

>> Candidates in the final year of Graduation are also eligible.

1.Indian Engineering services :

The eligibility criteria for this exam:

>>Bachelor's degree in any stream of engineering .Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

>>You will have to give the entrance exam in only four streams :

1.Civil engineering

2.Mechanical engineering

3.Electronics and communication engineering

4.Electrical engineering

>>The age limit is 21-30 years for the candidate of general category .Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/t respectively.

If you have engineering degree then you are applicable for IES exam OR M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts.

The exam will conduct on four subject .Each candidate choose one subject for written exam -

IES stands for the Indian Engineering Service. It is the most reputed entrance exam for B.Tech degree holders. The jobs offered are very reputed but one should remember that Indian Engineering Service is one of the most difficult entrance exams in the world.

Indian Engineering Service is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. There are several departments of the central government that are related to communications, roads, Railways and even defence that requires Engineering graduates.

The vacancies in these departments are filled with Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. The exam is conducted in four branches of B.Tech

You can apply for the Indian Engineering Service if meets the following criteria:-

1. The candidate has to be national of India.

Now you can apply for this exam in the year 2014 only

Fees to apply is Rs 200
But for SC/ST/Women candidates fees is zero
